Alan is a qualified accountant and founded the company in 1999. Alan has a wealth of experience a has worked with a range of Government agencies and private clients both nationally and internationally. Prior to forming the company, Alan worked for Fáilte Ireland as a Manager of their Product Development Department, where he was responsible for the implementation of many tourism investment and promotion strategies and policies. Over €1.5 billion of tourism investments were directly levered with Failte Ireland grant aid during this period. Alan has key expertise in areas such as project management, international planning and funding, financial and marketing analysis, research, project development, business planning, feasibility analysis.
Lorraine O'KeefeMarketing Executive
Lorraine is Associate Director with responsibility for Administration and Marketing. Before joining Sherwood & Associates, Lorraine worked for over 12 years with Failte Ireland. Her key areas of responsibility included, Product Development, Project Management, Marketing Development . Over the last 10 years with Sherwood & Associates Lorraine has worked with many clients on developing the marketing and sales strategies and lead a number of key research projects.
Fiona O'ReillyVisual Communications Associate
During Fiona’s 20 years in the creative advertising industries Fiona has gained extensive international experience in all areas of design, having worked in New York, Sydney and Dublin. Fiona has a master’s in graphic design and provides clients with unique and cutting edge graphic art.

Lar is a Graphic Designer with many years’ experience. He has worked in all areas of digital design as a creative director and lead designer with a variety of clients both at home and abroad. Lar provides digital analysis and strategies.
Maggie MoranAssociate Researcher
Maggie Moran is an editor, interpretative planner/researcher, curator and educational consultant with over twenty years’ experience in Ireland and the UK. Working with Sherwood Associates on such recent projects such as the Wild Atlantic Way, Marconi Discovery point in Connemara and Dublin Castle Record Tower, she has a knowledge and experience of Ireland’s urban and rural heritage and an understanding of content and of the delivery methodologies required to ensure a dynamic, engaging experience for visitors of all ages.
Jennifer McCreaAssociate Researcher
Jennifer McCrea specialises in audience development and interpretation in heritage. focusing on creating engagement opportunities for a broad range of audiences through rich and relevant visitor experiences. Jennifer has over twenty years’ experience in education programme development, volunteering initiatives, as well as training, development and planning in the museums and heritage sector. Jennifer studied the History of Art at Trinity College, Dublin and holds and MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, where she majored in interpretation.
