The assignment was to develop an interpretative framework for the city and a series of interventions that would assist with refining the tourism product and creating a more dynamic way for visitors to experience it.

The study highlighted a unique opportunity to create a new waterside experience and develop a new bridge linking key aspects of Limericks cultural assets together.

The Government subsequently provided €6million in the 2014 budget to realise the project.
